  • This episode, which was supposedly the pilot for the never-aired "Super Jetsons", has George tinkering with a thought remote called the Thinko that gives him superpowers.

A well, thought-out episode that parodies both Superman as well as Spider-Man in that George is blessed with super-strength, yet is cursed by it as well, as he causes numerous accidents such as an intergalactic traffic jam and a breakdown of the wall at his employer, Spacely Sprockets. It was especially fun seeing Spacely begging SuperGeorge to come back to work for the company, only to have the newly-minted hero say no and become a champion wrestler. The subplot involving the Nebulous Nifty salesrobot falling in love with Rosie worked as well. It isn't very often there are subplots in "Jetsons" episodes, but this is an exception. It's a shame that Hanna-Barbera couldn't expand the focus of this episode further into a sequel series in which George tinkers with an improved version of the Thinko machine, giving not only him but his family their superpowers as Super Jetsons while they reckon with the likes of Knuckles Nuclear, Mugsy Megaton, Mangler Mars, Skata Hara and a whole array of intergalactic villains.moreless
