  • This show featured Jose Feliciano, Bobbie Gentry and Arlo Guthrie. As always these are not guests that would be seen on Network Television in those days if it weren't for Johnny Cash and his staff.moreless

Bobbie Gentry did a couple of songs and had a nice conversation with Johnny about the region where she grew up, (Near the Tallahatchie Bridge). Arlo appeared in an old Army Jacket and Cowboy hat and sang "the Motorcycle Song". His next appearence would be much better in the next season. Jose Feliciano was Wonderful !! He lives in the same town as I do, and we see him around from time to time, but this appearence was one of the best I'd ever sen him perform. He is a True Guitar Master !! He plays in such a distintive style with incredible speed. He is still touring last time I heard, he is always a worthwhile Artist who combines several Guitar Styles and created his own unimitable way of making that Acoustic Sing/Cry/Wail, that few others can come close to doing. This show is well worth seeing and should have made it to the "Best Of" DVD.moreless
