Jonathan's guests are Al Hirt, Buddy Ebsen and Susan Barrett. Also joining him are Abby Dalton, Cliff Arquette, Pamela Rodgers and the Paul Weston Orchestra. Comedy Sketches: In sketches, Johathan and Buddy are two girl-hunting rubes in the big city. Jonathan is a husband slowly starving on the diet devised by his wife (Abby Dalton). Backed by Al's trumpet, Jonathan squarely expounds on "The Birth of the Blues." Musical Highlights: Al Hirt performs "Blues in the Night". Susan Barrett sings "Before the Parade Passes By".
