Novelist James Hilton is credited with the story, which has a note of fantasy uncharacteristic of this series. June Allyson takes the role of a charming, albeit mysterious, passenger on an airplane bound for Europe, who takes an interest in a lonely, reclusive, melancholy young lawyer (Russell Johnson). Blaming himself for a family tragedy, the young man is unable to find joy in living - until his flight makes an emergency landing at Gull Bay, a remote stop "at the top of the world." Accompanied by Ms. Allyson and the other passengers, he spends an enchanting day or two at an inn operated by splendid French character actor, Eugene Borden, in one of his best roles. It is an exceptionally pleasing and well-played episode of this anthology series.moreless
