The Karen Dunbar Show

Show Summary

Having twice been nominated for the prestigious Golden Rose of Montreaux, the show is now into it's fourth sucessful series. With such popular characters as Shoeless Josie and cabaret duo from hell, Almost Angelic, the show continues to go from strength to strength.

  • Karen Dunbar stars in her own sketch show with such stars as Almost Angelic, Shoeless Josie, Janis and her mum (LOL) and risque shopper.

Why did this series come and go so quickly. It has to be one of the best British comedies in recent years. My personal favourites are Almost Angelic. A cabaret duo who can be booked for any event. Each week they treat us with a different song. Like (sung in Scottish accents) Milkshake (where Angela tries to shake her milkshake but Ricky tells her off), Super Trouper (where Ricky gets sea sick while travelling doon the water to the industrial estate with the big IKEA in it) and I Believe In A Thing Called Love (where Angela can't reach the high notes for tonight's show and when she eventually does, loses her voice). Another of my favourites is Janis and her mum. Janis is a 30-something who's mum is crazy. She can't go out anywhere due to the fact that her mum just can't cope. Her mum likes to wat tampons!!!!!! The best Scottish show (apart from Balamory) ever!moreless
