The Kathy Fountain Show was a 35-minute news program hosted by former
Tampa, Florida news anchor Kathy Fountain. The program, which began in
1995, ran until Fountain retired in 2009, despite various changes to
scheduling and time slots. The show saw Fountain interviewing a number
of celebrities and perhaps is best remembered for an early appearance by
the late Eartha Kitt, who managed to do a handstand right in the
anchor's studio. Heavier topics such as teen suicide and drunk driving
were also among the topics discussed on the program.
