The Kennedy Assassination is a historical documentary that originally aired in 2009 on The History Channel, a cable television network in the United States. It consists of a single episode with a running time of about 94 minutes. This documentary uses newly discovered transcripts to provide additional insight on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The film covers its aftermath, beginning 24 hours after the assassination, focusing on when Kennedy actually died and the Presidency was transferred to Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. It also covers the conspiracy theories explored by the Warren Commission, which concluded Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Many theories exist, in which Oswald is believed to have conspired with various organizations in the assassination. The primary theory explored in this documentary is the idea that Oswald was working for Cuban leader Fidel Castro. This film is directed and written by Anthony Giacchino, a documentary filmmaker since 2007.
