The Kids in the Hall

Season 1 Episode 21

Aired Unknown May 15, 1990 on 60 Frames

  • Trivia

    • A frame by frame inspection shows a wire tied to the back of the plane in the "Buddy Holly" sketch. This is why the plane does a huge tilt to the ground when the not-so-plump Bopper climbs on.

    • In the "Fat Man" skit, you can tell the fat man is sucking on someone else's toes.

  • Quotes

    • Dave: And now . . . the Dr. Seuss Bible! "One day," God said, "This is what I will do. I'll send down my son, I'll send him to you, to clear up this humpity bumpity hullabaloo. His name will be Christ and he'll never wear shoes. And his pals will all call him the King of the Jews!"

    • Announcer: 30 Helens Agree...
30 Helens: (In unison) There's a time and a place to show photos of your children! (The Helens all nod in agreement)
Helen Roritor: They'll stop the evening dead.
Helen Morrisey: Reedy Allen will show her's at the drop of a hat.
Announcer: 30 Helens Agree. There's a time and a place to show photos of your kids.

  • Notes

    • The "Seuss Bible" skit was edited before it hit HBO. The origional version shows hammers hitting Scott's hands, and having him cry out "ME!" when he got hit.

    • This episode has never aired in full in syndication on Comedy Central, due to material content. Only a few skits were taken from the show to make cut-up episodes. The full version can be found on the Season 1 DVD.

    • This was the last episode of the Season with origional material, but was not billed as the Season 1 finale. That went to #121, the "Best Of" episode.

  • Allusions

    • Skit: Buddy Holly
The skit makes fun of the death of The Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and of course Buddy Holly.
