A number of previous episodes were referenced in this one. First when Casey asks Billy his pet peeve he says "chain letters", this refers to the episode "Billy Breaks the Chain" where Billy was sent a chain letter. When Lisa is apologizing to Casey she brings up a few more. She talks about her dad's wedding which happened in "Noel Buys a Suit", the time they did a paper together in "Lisa Makes the Headlines" and the time they had a rabbit in "Casey Draws the Line". Also the time that Griff and Lisa went on the bad date is brought up (which has been mentioned a few times since then) which happened in "Connie Makes a Catch".
