  • THE NEGLECTED

The Killing "Seventeen" Review: Parental Instincts

The Killing is settling into its normal rhythm of slow police work peppered with cliffhangers, but this episode didn't have the character work that's necessary to fill things out.

      • TRIVIA (2)

        • They call the serial killer the "Pied Piper" because of the age of the victims, often teenaged. There is a fictional legend concerning a piper who dressed in multicoloured clothing who led children away from the town of Hamelin only to never return, and thus were thought to have died. This version of the tale was used to prevent disobedience but was transformed into a fairy tale for children.

      • QUOTES (2)

        • Skinner: This case is going to be solved with good solid police work, not some PhD's half-baked psychological profile…(pretends he is a profiler) "well, you know, based on the nature of the wounds, we can tell that he's angry". No shit - he's angry.

        • Linden: Where's Reddick?
Holder: Punched out. Get his beauty sleep. Me, I'm already beautiful, so… (puts his arms in the air as Linden smiles)
