The King of Queens has been one of the funniest programs on television throughout its run and definitely went down in history as one of the greatest programs in history, but here they did something few thought they could do: have a very special episode. There were a few serious moments prior to this, but none like this. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air essentially wrote the book on how to do a hilarious and zany episode one week, and a super serious one the next, but King did it well tonight. You really felt for Arthur here.

    Just a well-written episode.moreless

    • The Latin voice that Holly does on the phone is the same voice that Nicole Sullivan did for her Lida character while she was on MadTV.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Doug: Okay, I have no TV and now I'm about to beg Arthur to come back home. You know what, you better drive, I might take us off a bridge.

    • (Arthur and Carrie just had a big fight)
Carrie: Doug, tell me. How bad was it?
      Doug: It wasn't so bad.
      Carrie: Doug, come on.
Doug: It was the worst thing I ever saw. And I once saw a man chase his glass eye down a flight of subway stairs.

    • (Arthur feels guilty after ruining Carrie's job interview)
Arthur: Now if only there were a cure for failing as a parent.
Doug: You didn't fail as a parent. You got, like, a C-, which in my house is good enough to get you a trip to Carvel.

    • (Arthur walks up to Doug and lifts his shirt)
Arthur: Douglas, scratch above my left buttock.
Doug: Okay, two things—you didn't say please, and I'd rather die.

    • Carrie: Any sign of my dad?
Doug: No. I thought I saw him in the park, but it was just a weird-shaped kid.
