The King of Queens: Series Finale Predictions

with the final episode set to air at the end of this season, i'd like to see everyones thoughts on what will take place.
my final prediction is probably the most obvious one, that being that Carrie has a baby, which would have to mean that she would already be pregnant come the season premiere in January

I agree. It would be hard to see the show go down without Doug and Carrie finally having a baby.

After seeing that episode with Doug taking care of that baby, and Carrys maternal instincts warm up a little bit, it would be hard to end the series without them getting a baby.

Maybe they might adopt a kid in the end, who knows.

They're also the godparents to Deacon and Kelly's kids. But I'm getting ahead of myself, this isnt the kind of show that would go that sad and heavy.

True, but one minute everything could be all funny and the next everything could all be serious.

Stuff happens like this on sitcoms, though not very often with this particular show.

We all know how this show will end. It will end with Carrie humiliating Doug some how, some way. They really need to have a serious finale, as this whole Doug screwing up- Carrie being furious form his screw up is getting old.

I think the producers are smart enough to stay away from any predictable, all-to-convenient life-changing twists in the final episode: no baby, no Arthur dying, no Spence and Danny realize they love each other and get married, no major job promotion for Doug.

The fianle will probably be the same setup as the finale of Everybody Loves Raymond. Nothing serious happening but just a regular episode.

I wouldn't want anything bad to happen but I still want the series finale to be something good for the show to go out on.

I really am not expecting much. Everyone from the writers to the cast seems to have been going through the motions the last couple seasons so it seems doubtful that they will pull it together for a memorable series finale.

At the taping I was at this past friday the writers told us the last 4 eps. would have a story arc. Which is to say, there will be a central story running through the last 4 eps.
The eps. have not been written yet. Carrie may or may not get pregnant/have a baby.
It has not been decided yet.
But, I believe the last ep. will be just a half hour show.

she should have gotten pregnant 5 years ago, that would have led to al lot of funny episodes, wasnt doug funny when he played carries son and was running after her in the park when she said they were going for ice cream

I think a good series finale would be that Carrie leaves Doug... she gets promoted in the firm and finally she gets tired of Dougs mediocrity and moves on.
