We start with Doug receiving a letter telling him and Carrie that an apartment in Manhattan they put their name down for before moving to Queens is now available, this is because of the popularity of the place and the waiting list, naturally Doug scorns the idea as he knows him and Carrie are settled plus Arthur now lives with them and the apartment would be too small for all three, trouble has it that Arthur fall’s for an aging singer Ava St Clair and decides to marry her making way for Doug and Carrie to move to Manhattan, Doug now has cold feet and tell’s Carrie he doe’s not want to move, thinking Carrie will stay she calls his bluff and moves into the apartment leaving Dougie to fend for himself in Queens.moreless
