  • Best episode of the last ones leading up to the Series Finale.

I loved this episode. It was by far my favorite one leading up to the series finale. Doug becomes a devout vegetarian after almost running over a chicken during his route at the beginning of the episode. His passion for animals leads to him becoming an outrageous proponent of vegetarianism, even to the point of him opposing to people drinking coffee (because of the conditions the workers who pick the beans must endure), which sets Carrie back in her attempts to become closer to her boss, Mr. Kaufman. The sub plot of this episode is how Mr. Kaufman wants Carrie to become his "book buddy," which leads Carrie on a mission to try and read 'The Contortionist's Daughter,' an 1,100 page book which Doug ends up reading for her. Overall, an extremely well written and acted episode. I still laugh every time I watch it.
