Doug: (About Carrie's miscarriage) I guess the good thing that came out of all of this is now we know we really want to have a baby, so we're gonna keep trying.
Arthur: That's the spirit, Douglas. Don't let the bastards get you down!
Doug: Okay... don't exactly know what bastards you mean, but thanks.
Doug: You work 40 hours a week, max, and even then I want a lot of slacking off. You know, they put solitaire on the computer for a reason.
Marilyn: I assume you're taking folic acid.
Carrie: Well, I took some at a Metallica concert once—woke up the next day at the parking lot of a Waldbaum's.
Carrie: This is my husband, Doug.
Dr. Linhardt: Doug, hello, it would seem congratulations are in order.
Doug: And to you! It took me two whole dates to go where you're about to go.
Doug: I'm not even Doug anymore, you realize? I'm "Name of Father."
