Roast Chicken
AIRED:
Carrie has Doug sign a congratulatory card for his boss' twenty years at the company and the whole thing blows up in Doug's face. Now, Fisker, the boss, wants Doug to participate in the banquet roast and Doug blames Carrie for this fiasco. • A roast.

    7.5
Episodes like this show that stand-up comedians want to incorporate their acts into their shows, no matter how ridiculous it seems. Tonight we saw Kevin James' Doug Heffernan go from somebody afraid to roast their boss to being a charismatic, wedding singer like personality. Are we supposed to expect this could happen? This was like the Everybody Loves Raymond episode where Ray gave Robert a toast at their wedding similar to his act, when his character is supposed to be a dim-witted sports writer.

The episode did have its high parts though. Sometimes the show needs to do more of these episodes with just the main three cast members and no Spence or Danny.moreless
  • Carrie writes a joke in Doug's thank you card.

    9.0
This episode was so hilarious, who would of thought of this plot!? This definitely developed in to something big, looks like Carrie ruined Doug's work life forever! This episode had so much plot development, unfortunately this episode did not have a subplot but the plot made up for it. Carrie writes a joke in Doug's thank you card for his boss, but when his boss reads it, he offers Doug to roast him, when he does, everything seems to go perfect, despite how nervous he is, but when he takes the joke too far, about cancer, it seems like Doug wont be getting a promotion anytime soon!moreless
