  • Pretty boring without Carrie.

    7.0
This episode was so boring! I mean really it was somewhat funny in some parts but watching Doug being a kid again just made me want to fall asleep, now I know why I like this show so much, it was because of the couple episodes between Doug & Carrie, and no one else, no wonder I do not like the side characters very much, but this episode brought out the side characters, the best parts were the only ones that Carrie was in, overall a very disappointing episode but again somewhat funny. The best part is when Carrie came home.moreless

    • Janet: Joe, can I talk to you in private? (Janet and Joe go into the hallway)
Joe: (OS about Doug) Why'd you leave him alone, again? He's sick. He didn't feel good--
      Janet: (OS) He's not sick.
Joe: What do you mean he's not sick?
Janet: He failed that test. He was faking it.
Joe: Oh, for crying out loud! How does a driver fail a driving test?
Janet: Shh. Don't yell at him. We're only going to push him further away.
Joe: What is wrong with that kid?
Janet: We had him tested. He's got a short attention span.
Joe: Ah, that's just a fancy way of saying that he's stupid.
Doug: (calls into the hallway) Hearing you!

    • Joe: Don't invite Spencer. He's weird.
Janet: Let it go, Joe. He was in junior high. He was just curious about his body.
Joe: Why'd he have to be curious in my bathroom? With the door unlocked?

    • Deacon: (to Doug) So, uh... your folks role into town, yet?
Doug: No, they're coming in today. Oh, but it turns out that Carrie's gotta go on this business trip so I gotta be their Mr. Belvedere all week.
Deacon: You can't just suck it up for a week? I mean they took care of you for 18 years, right?
      Doug: Actually, 27.

    • Arthur: (on his 'Arthur-head' screwdriver) I fashioned the end from an old typewriter key. You see, the 'A' - key fits into the corresponding 'A'- hole.
