This was another great episode of The King of Queens. In Shear Torture, Carrie gets mad at Doug, when she finds out that he is going to a "Hot Hairdresser." Carrie tells him that he should not go to her anymore, but realizes that she is a hypocrite when she goes to a hot trainer. They decide to make a compromise, Carrie stays with her trainer and Doug finds a new hot hairdresser. He would have gone back to the old one, but Carrie gave the hair dresser's number to Doug's brother, and he is now dating her. Again this episode was hilarious. It had the marital fighting that we all love. Great Episode!moreless

This is why I watch the episodes. Very funny. It was good to have Lou in the episode again. The jokes between Carrie and Doug are great. The best line was Doug's Ms. Butterworth joke. I wish more of the episodes were like this and not Doug acting completely mean to Carrie. Spence and Danny are priceless as well as Deacon. Wish Arthur was in the episode. Just recently went to a taping of the show and it makes you appreciate the episodes more to see all the work that goes into them. great all around show with all the characters represented except Arthur. Keep it up.moreless

    • Deflecting teasing from Doug and Deacon, Spence sarcastically replies, "yeah, Fantasy Fest '05 is a geekfest. That's why three different hobbits are showing up." Hobbits are the diminuitive race created by J.R.R. Tolkien for his book, The Hobbit, and best known for his The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Edit
    • Begging Lou Ferrigno to go with him to the Sci-Fi convention, Spence insists that if he could bring him, he'd "finally be a somebody. Not just some loser who wears Spock ears because he doesn't have the guts to get the surgery." Mr. Spock was the Vulcan science officer on Star Trek portrayed by Leonard Nimoy. Edit
    • When Carrie discovers Doug's hairdresser is hot, she accuses him of getting his hair cut by "Edward Scissorboobs", a reference to the movie Edward Scissorhands. Edit
