  • Tina and Bette - together again? Or not? Jenny - prima donna director with creepy assistant - can any one say "Single White Female?" Kit with rat problems; named Dawn & Cindi...moreless

A lot going on - most disappointed in Bette; I can understand she has feelings for Tina, but until she breaks up with Jodi, she shouldn't be messin' with Tina. And I'm so surprised at Tina, since cheating was one of the reasons for their initial breakup in the first place. But I do have to admit - their scenes together were very hot!

I loved the scene with Jenny trying to show the two actresses how to show some passion and make love in the bathroom. Too funny - was disappointed not to see the coach she said she was going to get them to show them how to &@*% a woman.

Her assistant is up to something - getting her hair done exactly like Jenny's and then denying it was her idea; too weird.

And Phyllis - good to see her again, but can she really be that stupid to let Joyce represent her in her divorce? Hasn't she heard about the "woman scorned" bit?

Very sad to see Alice and Tasha break up - heartbreaking to see Alice cry. I certainly hope this is just a blip and that they'll end up back together. I feel like Alice has her two feet above the ground and Tasha has hers below the ground - together, they balance each other out.

The witches from Shebar - I so hope Shane and the rest of the girls can come up with something to close that skanky ho's bar down, and she and her wacked-out girlfriend can find another place to go terrorize. And after all that, Cindi has the audacity to say to Shane "Call me!" Jeeeez, what a ditz.

    Missin' Helena big time.

Looking very forward to next week's episode.moreless

  • Bette & Tina finally make love to each other for the first time in years...and they do it twice!

Let me just start out by saying that I absolutely loved this episode. I thought that it was absolutely amazing! The Bette and Tina storyline was definitely my favorite storyline in this episode. Both of the Bette and Tina love scenes were absolutely amazing and so well done by both Jennifer and Laurel, especially the second one. Besides the Bette and Tina storyline, I also really liked Jenny's storyline, as well as Phyllis'. I loved Cybil's scenes at Phyllis' party. I also loved the whole bit about Jenny wanting to give Adele a makeover using money from the wardrobe budget for her film. I also loved Niki's behavior in this episode, and I'm absolutely loving the character Adele. All in all, I absolutely loved this episode, and I have say that I think that season five has definitely been the best season yet of The L Word.moreless

  • Trivia

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Nitpick: The opening teaser includes the scene based on an actual event that happened between Bette and Tina, but there is no physical possibility for Jenny to be so precise about it since she wasn't there. Edit
    • Goof: When Bette throws Tina on the bed, you can see a bunch of books and one of Angelica's teddy bears on the bed. Bette brushes them all off and then starts to take off Tina's pants. Suddenly there is a bright yellow book next to Tina that wasn't there in the beginning of the scene. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • Wallace Shawn (William) receives the "And" credit. Edit
    • Even though she is credited, Rachel Shelley (Helena) does not appear in this episode. Edit
    • Jenny: (location scouting) Vancouver doesn't pass as L.A. This is an inside joke and nod to the fans: The L Word, set in L.A., is shot mainly in Vancouver, Canada. Many fans have complained that this is too obvious and Vancouver does not indeed pass as L.A. Edit
  • Quotes

    ADD QUOTES
    • Tina: Jenny is fucking the star. Bette: Oh, Jesus. Tina: Or I should say that she's fucking herself. Edit
    • Bette: I don't know what to do. Tina: You're in love with Jodi, right? Bette: I adore her and I respect and admire her... Tina: But what? Bette: It doesn't really compare. Edit
    • Jenny: (to her actors): You guys just don't know how to fuck. You know what you need? A lesbian sex coach. Edit
  • Allusions

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Dawn: (to Shane) SheBar is such a better location. I can't believe they were going to pay fifty thousand dollars a day for that wannabe Peach Pit of a shithole. This is a reference to the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210 that ran from 1990 to 2000. The Peach Pit was a restaurant and popular hangout for the characters in the show. Edit
    • At a pool party, Cybill Shepard's character stands on a diving board and is about to take off her clothes. This is homage to Cybill's famous nude scene in the 1971 movie The Last Picture Show. Edit
    • Niki: She's never met a lesbian before? I mean, come on, what about Ellen and Portia? This is a reference to Ellen DeGeneres, who is an openly gay, successful actress, and has a Emmy award winning talk show. She is dating actress Portia de Rossi. Edit
