Alice: So when did Jenny let you back in the house?
Shane: Um... last night.
Jenny: (from the bedroom) Hey, little monkey? Have you seen my earrings?
Alice: Monkey? Wow. You guys like, super made up.
The song heard while Alice sends a text to her friends about Jenny and Shane hooking up is called "Shut Up and Let Me Go" by The Ting Tings.
Although credited, Daniela Sea (Max) did not appear in this episode except as a image in Alice's cell phone.
Director Angela Robinson and writer Alexandra Kondracke appear in a cameo appearance in Tina's office explaining to her about Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Cybill Shepherd is credited as a Special Guest Star.
Alice: (to Jenny, describing her movie treatment) It's kinda like Foul Play meets Mr. and Mrs. Smith, so it's got the romantic, you know, action-y, it's kinda got everything.
Foul Play is a 1978 romantic comedy that starred Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn. The movie was considered a success and even inspired a brief TV series. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a 2005 action/comedy film with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The movie shares a name with a 1941 Alfred Hitchcock comedy film.
Jenny: Aren't you going to do Patrick Dempsey's hair for some kind of commercial this morning?
Jenny: No? What are you doing then?
Shane: I mean, um, I'm not. Who am I doing? I'm doing, um, Eric, uh, Eric Mabius.
The reference to Eric Mabius is an inside joke for the show. Mabius played the role of Jenny's boyfriend, Tim Haspel, in season 1 of The L Word. At the time this episode aired, he starred in the ABC hit dramedy Ugly Betty.
