Tonya is left in charge of Mr. Piddles, and then surprise, surprise, Mr. Piddles ends up dead. Damn that **** Tonya, I knew she couldn't be trusted. Poor Dana...

Riot breaks out at the CAC and Shane, Alice, Dana, Bette, and Candace end up in jail. Oscar, Kit, Bette's boss, and Tina come to the rescue. Bette tries to resist temptation while sharing a cell with Candace. She partake in what can only be described as phone sex, without a phone.

Ivan and Kit meet at the Planet, and it is clear that Ivan is falling for her.

Jenny has a date, Marina finds out, and Marina pursues the same woman. Meanwhile, Jenny and Tim are on okay terms and Jenny is writing a story about a woman who wakes up one day to find out she can speak to manatees.

After the nearly flawless previous episodes (the last three were about as near to perfect as you can get, it certainly builds up to Bette's breaking point), it's not surprising what the future holds.moreless

  • Bette's loyalities are tested and Shane gets stood up.

    9.7
    "Superb"
This episode was a very revealing one, indeed. Bette's commonly criticized Provocations exhibit finally leads to a full fledged riot, resulting in the arrest of the girls.

Coincidentally, Candace and Bette share a cell. Amusing as it may be, Bette is pathetically struggling to keep her pants on around Candace. As she begins to tie back her buttons, Tina comes along with Oscar and the head executive of CAC to release her on bail. Instead of leaving with the rest of the crew like she should, Shane insists on sticking around to wait on Cherie. In the end, the time reads after 2AM and Shane is still waiting in the office. Could it be that Shane's heart-breaking ways are beginning to catch up with her?

Mind you, Shane is one of the most favorited and interesting characters on the L Word, but what goes around certainly comes around!moreless

This was the first episode of The L Word that I'd ever seen. It actually wasn't that hard to figure out what was going on, though after seeing it from the beginning helped. Bette's gallery get's picketed and a fight breaks out. Everyone is taken to jail and Candace and Bette share a cell. We are treated to phone sex, without the phone and the sex. Kudos for both their imagintions.moreless

    • Jenny: (about manatees) What happened to them, why were they beached? Gene: Well, the, um... the one female was running away from the five males. She stays in heat for a month and the... the bulls spend the entire time smashing into each other, trying to have sex with her then they just kinda ditch her once she's pregnant. Jenny: Gosh, that sounds like a lot of humans. Edit
    • Candace: (in jail) Aren't you going to sit down? Bette: I can't. Candace: Why? Bette: I can't sit near you. Edit
    • Marina: (to Robin) The Greek word eros denotes want, like, the desire for that which is missing. The lover wants what he doesn't have. It is by definition impossible for him to have what he wants if as soon as it is had it is no longer wanted. Edit
