Lone Pine, California -- 1985: An actor on a Western film is caught having sex with another man by the star of the movie.

Alice: I don't know why everybody thinks I'm so funny.
Dana: Because you are. Alice, you're a funny lady, and it's one of the things I love about you, and I'm not the only one.
Alice: I don't like you very much right now.
Alice: What am I gonna do for my audition?! A once-a-week, three-minute culture spot. Great. I need fucking ideas!
Dana: People who ruin their lives because they can't stop having sex?
Alice: 'Kay. That's really not helping.
Jenny: I haven't seen you guys in a couple days. What have you been doing?
Alice: (a little too quickly) Working. / Dana: Training.
Tina: (smiling) They've been having sex all weekend.
Shane: (at confession) Everyone... wants something from me, and... I don't feel like I have anything left to give.
Priest: What have you been giving up until now?
Shane: Sex. That's mainly what people want.
Dana: (to Alice) I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you through the feathers, pillow queen.

Alice: (about the many connections on The Chart) And once you get her on the chart, y'know, you have Warren Beatty. Which [means], you have him on the chart, you know, you pretty much have [everyone]...
Before his marriage to Annette Bening in 1992, actor Warren Beatty was notorious for having been involved (and dumped) a host of celebrity women. It's not clear who the woman is to whom Alice is referring to.
Alice: My big catch-phrase-ending could be, um, "Go ask Alice 'cause she knows what's goin' on!"
This is a reference to the Grace Slick / Jefferson Airplane song White Rabbit which has the line "Go ask Alice / I think she'll know". The entire song, in turn, is a big reference to the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Helena: The Chateau Marmont is getting so tedious, I mean, I can't walk from one end of the lobby to the other without being offered to do blow or finance four independent films starring Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The Chateau Marmont Hotel on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles is famous for its frequent celebrity patrons. Helena also mentions actress Maggie Gyllenhaal who is known for her quirky characters in small independent productions. What's interesting is that this is the second time this season she is mentioned on the show.
