The Lampies was a children's animated television show from England that lasted for two seasons with fifty four episodes. The show was created by Dave Bonner, produced by Morgan Francis and directed by Dean Roberts and Mark Marren. The show followed a group of fictional engineers representing anthropomorphic powers that defended a lighting network. It was animated using a combination of traditional 2D animation as well as 3D digital animation. The show was commissioned by the BBC. It was made through the Uli Meyer Animation Studio and had award winning music written by Mike Connaris of Mcasso which won the first place in the children's category of an International Songwriting Competition in 2006. The judges of that music contest were the esteemed musicians Tom Waits, Chris Hillman, John Mayall and Jerry Lee Lewis. The show also released a Christmas single song in 2001 called 'Light Up the World for Christmas.'
