The Larry Sanders Show

Show Summary

Comic Garry Shandling draws upon his own talk show experiences to create the character of Larry Sanders, a paranoid, insecure host of a late-night talk show. Larry, along with his obsequious television sidekick Hank Kingsley and his fiercely protective producer Artie, allows Garry Shandling and his talented writers to look behind the scenes and to show us a convincing slice of behind-the-camera life. • A**HOLE CHARACTER HAS TO HAVE SOME REDEEMING VALUE

    4.0
A**HOLE CHARACTERS IN SITCOMS CAN BE FUN, BUT WHEN THEY HAVE NO REDEEMING VALUE, LIKE HANK KINGSLEY, (PERFORMED VERY WELL BY JEFFREY TAMBOR!) MAKES THE SHOW UNWATCHABLE.
  • Original, clever and just hilarious!

    10
Personally, this is my favorite show ever on Television. Other shows have come close but nothing has made me laugh more consistantly than the Larry Sanders Show. Great characters and great writing made me need to have a fix weekly. I even got a subscription to HBO specifically for this show.
