Rip Torn is a perfect example of how less can be more in comedy. His simple, subtle jabs at Hank and Larry complement the characters so well and are the highlights of every episode.
I was disappointed by the apparent lack of Jeffrey Tambor here. A true comedic legend who always brought some great entertainment to the table. His underuse here was a reason that this did not break the 8.0 barrier.
The guests were acceptable here and big names as well, but not the funniest we've seen on the show. But overall this was a very laugh-out-loud episode of The Larry Sanders Show.
