What's the deal with the category Craig was in? It was musicals, variety shows, and comedy??? I still don't know why they would mix musicals with comedy. Anyways, it's too bad that David Letterman and Craig Ferguson didn't stand a chance against Barry Manilow!

I really wish they would split that category a bit more fairly. I mean at the very least put comedy and variety into one and musicals in another. It would make a little more sense in my opinion.

Yeah! It doesn't make any sense, those two categories just don't mix...

The Emmy awards show is long enough as it is. :-) Why add another category? I find it highly amusing and indicative of something that the Emmy show is eligible for an Emmy! Talk about the snake swallowing its own tail! The only way to look at any and all the awards shows is that we are spectators to a club/fraternity/cabal ritual of self-congratulation. The reason the red carpet shows leading up to them are so popular is that all we really want is another chance to glance at the celebrities as they bask/wallow/prance/dance in the limelight again. - - - - how to get a paragraph separation in here? - - - - - -
The real voting for best anything takes place at the remote control, even though we don't get such precision as to be able to pick out best actor in a supporting role or any role. And furthermore, best anything is severly time dependent in the voting. The votes are for best show at 9 PM Tuesday, 'cause there's no telling what choice would be made if Wednesday shows were suddenly shown on Tuesday. But wait! They do that to us sometimes, don't they?!? Bah! It's no wonder books are still selling. At least I can depend on chapter 6 being after chapter 5, even if I've been away for a couple of weeks.
