  • Stan and Ollie rent a boat to ease Ollie's nerves, but trouble arises when a spy stows away on their vessel.

    9.1
One of Stan and Ollie's last great films. This one has some great situation comedy and slapstick gags, as well as a classic finale involving little more than a trombone. The plot is not original, and is pulled right from the Three Stooges short "Punch Drunks". But the Stooges borrowed a lot from Laurel and Hardy, so Laurel and Hardy are allowed to do the same. James Finlayson and Charlie Hall, in their last L&H film, help add some insanity and memorable scenes. Kudos also go to Dick Cramer, who plays notorious public enemy Nick Grainger. The scenes where he shoots the seagulls and makes the duo eat the synthetic meal are both classics. Certainly worth a view.moreless
