"The music was great. After they left." Poor Stan and Ollie never get a break. Everything theu do ends up causing more and more trouble. This is, in my opinion, one of the weaker L&H silents due to its repetitive structure and prolonged gags. The whole opening with the frustrated bandleader was just too long to be practical. The huge fight scene at the end was the same story. Just the same thing happening over and over. It was a bit painful too. The highlight for me was the dinner scene at the borading house, especially the bit with the salt and pepper shakers. Ollie's reactions to the spilled condiments are priceless. A decent early effort from the duo.moreless
