  • This show made for great television, so I gave it an 8. It would've gotten the full 10 if they'd ditched the loose cannon.

Well, this show actually did better than the first one. I'm impressed that many of these lawyers are quite brilliant. Especially Michael, Barrett, Aileen, Chris, and Regina. I don't have any major opinions on Keith's performance, other than his constant objections being a pretty good strategy. Olivier is clearly a loose cannon and he definitely does not belong here.

I thought Anika, Deep, and Elizabeth had their case won before it even began after they found their most credible witness. But Anika went ahead and changed their strategy to one that didn't make any sense at all without discussing it with her team! They so lost it when she did that, trying to paint the plaintiff as a terrorist just like their client's poster supposedly claimed.

This week, Roy Black dismissed two people from the same losing case rather than people from the different winning cases. I truly think Anika's dismissal was deserved. Her strategy change cost them the case big-time. She was the most responsible for it happening. Elizabeth was the next to go for not preparing a strong enough case for their client and thus fumbling over her cross-examination. I would've gladly seen Olivier go, but he really didn't do anything to make his team lose their case with the dominatrix. But if he doesn't do some serious behavior modification, he's gone.

This episode wasn't bad, actually. I'll look out for the next ones.moreless

  • This show was very entertaining, (so I rank it a 9.1) but for all the wrong reasons.

    "Superb"
I found this show to be more hilarious than intensly as just the existence of its title suggests. I think if this presentation were being viewed by scouts looking to hire new attorneys to their firm, it would represent a complete disaster. However, for an audience of Americans wanting to be entertained, it was a terrific episode.

Olivier got dissapointed with the results of the case and directed profanity towards the judge trying his case. I also disagreed with the judge but I don't know that if I were in his situation, I would've done the same thing but that's exactly what America wants to see. Who has the guts to do that?

Roy Black was displaying his sense of humor. His performance at the end of the show was unintentionally hilarious and therefore entertaining.

However, on the more sophisticated side, the show was a regrettable dissapointment. I don't think anyone handled their cases like they should've. Anika's cross-examination of the plaintiff in her case was horrible. She totally misrepresented the point that her defendant was trying to establish--that the production of the poster was done so as a joke. Even with Anika's mistake, I still think the judge should've ruled in favor of the defendant. It was so clear to me that the defendant was after money and nothing else. Also, in the case involving the dominatrix, I think Olivier and Barrett should've been questioning the defendants credibility every chance they had. The guy was a complete nutcase. And as for the outcome, it seemed as if the judge based his ruling not in accordance with the law but in accordance but let his own morals get in the way of the case. He didn't agree with her profession so he didn't want to rule in favor of her because he felt he'd be supporting her.

The majority of the contestants handled their cases poorly and I would've rather watched Roy Black tell of what he would've done if defending the case involving the so-called damaging poster. He was hilarious.moreless

    • Keith really goes on the offensive when Deep is trying to examine a witness that he believes is harmful to his side. In what must be one of the longest run of consecutive objections in court history, Keith objects to virtually every question that Deep asks and they are all sustained. Edit
