  • New intro : Opening theme song - No Regret

    9.8
It actually reveals quite a lot of things that will be coming in the following episodes, including the introduction of a few new interesting-looking characters (or just old characters with a new haircut). I have no idea though why they included the scene of Marilyn collapsing right at the beginning of the opening… will there be something special about this? It totally blows the interesting part of the show. By then, we'll know that Marilyn will lose to Ueki.

Rinko and Mori also begin to look more and more like the ladies-in-distress, who Ueki and the others have to rescue. This is such a pity, because their amazing personalities deserve way more than that. I’m wondering who the crying kid might be. It is a bit hard to see in such grey scales, but nobody in the show has similar eyebrows… Anyway, he or she looks like an interesting character. It also seems like we get to see God fighting in action. That will be interesting to see, I can’t wait for it, but it’ll probably be featured somewhere in the later episodes. I’m just a bit worried about the fact that Ueki is going to have wings… it seems awfully cliché… especially when you see him save a falling Mori…

Anyway, about the episode. Thank god this one was better then last time. I know again why I liked Kobayashi’s character so much. He’s just awesome. The new opponents also seem very interesting, especially during their introductions. The last team was a team about artists, this team is a team about soldiers. It works pretty well, and I really liked the way Ueki tricked everyone to buy the others some time. It really shows that the bad guys aren’t perfect as well. It also offers lots of possibilities for the next couple of episodes.moreless
  • Another great installment.

    8.1
It seems like Ueki's team is going to go up against Marilyn's team that finished the previous round in five minutes. Though before that, Kobasen, through Yocchan, wanted to give some advice to the team before they fight. Everyone was touched. The fated match has arrived which pits the two teams in a ghost town. Team Marilyn was able to track Team Ueki down quickly thanks to a transmitter. Using their SWAT type weapons, Rinko was immediately knocked out. Ueki decides to buy his team time by facing off against the team alone. The plan worked, for the transmitter was placed only on Ueki. However, things don't seem to be going so well, for he's going to be going up against five power users, who have excellent tactics and teamwork.

A combo breaker kind of, since the fight here wasn't nearly as entertaining as the past three episodes, though I guess that's understandable, since most of this episode was used just to set up and establish for the next episode, both morally and physically. Though this episode did provide at least one smart moment, such as Ueki making a successful runaway with his entire team being carried on his shoulders. It's just so intriguing when all of these small things that occured in the past, all eventually build up into one super sweet moment. Other than that, it seems like this'll be another morally based fight with a lesson to be learned somewhere. I really have nothing against life lessons; sometimes they just feel so corny though, especially during the fight with Rinko and Sano against those other guys. If the concept was used more lightly, it would have been more appreciable, but sometimes Law of Ueki relies on it more than it should.moreless

    • Team Marilyn:

      Pudding

He has the power of changing his mouth into a dimensional portal. He uses his power with Memory's to transport materials above the enemy, while she uses her power to change them into traps.

    • Team Marilyn:

      Baron

A knife user. He has the ability to move to wherever his knife is when he throws it. His Level Two is to immobilize himself and his opponent to the ground if he teleports within one meter of the person. An honest and naive fellow. Sometimes refers to himself in the third person. He is very loyal to Marilyn and can be quite gullible (due to the fact that he is tricked by Ueki repeatedly).

    • Team Marilyn:

      Matthew

His power is the ability to triple his pair of hands, making him have six arms. Matthew is something of a flirt when it comes to ladies.

    • Team Marilyn:

      Memory

Has the power creating traps from raw materials by sketching them. She uses her power with Pudding's to make a combination attack. The first "victim" of Mori's power. A very competent field leader who acts as a spotter from higher ground.
