Trivia

FILTER BY TYPE

  • Trivia

    • Ian looks like an older, scrawny, yet muscular version of Tarzan when he was young.

    • When Ian was at the waterfall trying to make himself look like Tarzan, it resembled young Tarzan in the movie when he was at the same waterfall looking at his refletion.

    • Did you notice that Terk and Tantor understood what Ian said and he understood them? Ian hasn't learned how to talk to animals. Even if Tarzan taught him, he woundn't be able to master it that quickly.

  • Quotes

    • (Dr. Doyle witnesses Ian jump off a cliff into the lake below)
      Ian: But Tarzan did it!
Dr. Doyle: Oh, and if Tarzan jumped off a bridge, would... wait! Scratch that.

    • Tantor: You know, what if we just wait here? Maybe he could find us.
Terk: (sarcastically) Yeah. Like he's gonna run through those bushes, over there, to us. (Ian runs through the very bushes)
Tantor: You're good. (picks up Ian) And where have you been? We've been looking all over for you!
Ian: Gotta go! Gotta go! Gotta go!
Terk: What's the hurry? (the baboons come through the bushes) Gotta go! Gotta go! Gotta go!

    • Terk: Hold it! (jumps off Tantor, sniffs the ground for a moment, then points) He went that way.
Tantor: You picked up his scent?
Terk: Yeah. And his footprints were a pretty good sign, too.

    • Jane: Uh... Darling... I appreciate you entertaining Ian. But swinging on vines and hanging upside down from branches could be construed as dangerous for little boys.
Tarzan: Really? I did it all the time when I was his age.
Ian: Hey, Tarzan! Can we play "Dodge the Leopard" again?
      Tarzan: Sure!
      Jane: Dodge the what?!

  • Allusions

    • The way Ian was nearly killed by the baboons is just what happened to Jane when Tarzan first met her.
