When the moblin lands in the fountain, there's a pink light effect as if he'd been zapped. However, when Link zaps him a second later, he just disappears without the usual light effect.
Moblin: Now, when I say 'Fire'... (The monsters launch the stone catapaults, sending the Moblin leader flying)
Moblin: When I say "Charge"... (The Monsters start to run with their battering ram from a great distance from the castle) No! Not yet! We're too far! (They make it to the castle gates and as the log touches the gate door, the monsters all collapse from exhaustion)
Link: Uhhhh Im good.
Dodongo's resistance mirrors the NES version of the monster. It could not be destroyed via Link's sword; only bombs would destroy it. Nintendo changed this in later versions of the Dodongo for the N64 games.
Dodongo was an underworld villain in the original Legend of Zelda game for NES.
This episode was shown with the live-Mario segment called "Fred Van Winkle".
