Recurring Role |
Monroe: It was supposed to be her father, but it skipped a generation.
Ray Ray: Monroe, your dad is so cool! You sure you are related?
Monroe: Sure. Send the eight-year old without superpowers into battle.
Ray Ray: I told ya. I GOT powers.
Monroe: The inability to control your bladder doesn't count.
Ray Ray: (about June) June got mistaken for a monster? That's not good for the self-esteem.
First appearance of William, Monroe's Father
This episode offers an implicit explanation for Ah-Mah's insistence that she's retired now and doesn't fight monsters. Since the role of Te Xuan Ze skipped over her son, she had to continue fighting as the Te Xuan Ze through almost two generations, until her granddaughter June finally inherited the role.
Despite appearing at the end of the episode, Ah-Mah has no dialogue.
Credits: William and some monsters are playing golf in Florida.
Ray Ray's bladder control problem was mentioned previously in "The World According to L.A.R.P.."
This episode marks the first time in the series June is defeated (although it wasn't her fault).
We learn that Ray Ray has none of June's powers.
In this episode, we learn from Monroe that June is the first Te Xuan Ze who has been a child. The duty was supposed to have gone to her father but it skipped a generation for reasons not revealed yet.
The Dracotta Beast's power is alot like Kobra Khan's from the original "Masters of the Universe". Both have cobra like hoods that shoot something. The main difference is that Kobra Khun's shoots sleep gas, while the dracotta beast's shoots slime.
When Monroe says that the role as Te Xuan Ze skipped a generation. It is similar to what happened in American Dragon: Jake Long, where the powers of the dragon skipped Jake's mom's generation.
When William fights against the Mother Dracotta Beast, he have the make up of William Wallace, character from the movie Braveheart.
Episode Title: Meet the Parent
The title, "Meet the Parent," is derived from the 2000 comedy movie, Meet the Parents.
