With highly-anticipated guest stars, a "Flashpoint" crossover and a major character set to die, you don't have to be a mind reader to know that Season 3 of "The Listener" is going to be an explosive one.
Premiering Wednesday, May 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, "The Listener" returns with telepathic paramedic Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik) at a crossroads over whether to continue to use his powers to save his own health or risk everything to help others.
He soon decides to step back from his role as a paramedic to join the Integrated Investigative Bureau (IIB) full time, alongside Sgt. Michelle McCluskey (Lauren Lee Smith) and Dev Clark (Rainbow Sun Francks), as part of an elite special ops unit.
But even though Toby and fellow paramedic Oz (Ennis Esmer) won't be spending as much time together on the job, the two friends will still see plenty of each other when Oz moves in next door.
Also returning to "The Listener" are Toby's old flame and medical consultant, Dr. Olivia Fawcett, (Mylène Dinh-Robic) and the object of Oz's affection, nurse Sandy (Tara Spencer-Nairn), along with the IIB's in-house legal expert Alvin Klein (Peter Stebbings) and EMS supervisor George Ryder (Arnold Pinnock).
In the season opener, titled "The Bank Job," Toby finds himself in the middle of a holdup, forcing him to risk his own life to ensure the safety of the other hostages. He also has to deal with the fallout when Sgt. McCluskey has to reveal to her boss the truth about his powers.
Season 3, which was shot in and around Toronto, will also see the first-ever crossover episode with "Flashpoint" as 'Spike' Scarlatti (Sergio Di Zio) shows up at St. Luke Hospital with an injury after a SRU takedown.
Other guest stars will include JUNO Award-nominee Fefe Dobson; Canadian rapper, record producer and actor Wes Williams and TSN's Glen Suitor, who appears as himself. Rossif Sutherland, Kristin Lehman, Corey Sevier, Grace Kung, Melanie Scrofano, Ian Tracey and Rachel Skarsten also guest star this season, and Peter Outerbridge reprises his role as criminal mastermind Magnus Elphrensen.
"The Listener" returns Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning May 30, with encore episodes Sundays at 7 p.m. ET/PT, beginning June 3 on CTV. Full episodes (including Season 1 and 2 in their entirety) are also available online at CTV.ca.
