Toby and Oz are called to a hotel after a baby falls out of a window. Before they can act, a mysterious teenage girl named Iris appears and places her hands over the baby and brings him back to life. Toby finds out she has a faith healing gift and gets a telepathic hit that makes him believe someone is trying to harm her.

Toby Witnesses A Miracle

At the start Toby witness a miracle by a teenage girl that healed a baby that fell from the window a couple of stories up. Soon after Toby hears a voice that someone wants to hurt the girl and tries to figure out who while working with Marks and OZ. Toby finds out that he's not alone and that the girl is just like him. This shows a turning point in finding out that Toby is not the only one. Now what is really going on is the question to this show, Marks now truly knows that Toby has a gift to read people minds. Don't know how she really feels about it but looks frustrated at times.moreless

The show had been a little simple.enternaining but simple....I love the relationship with Oz I thin brings humor without being annoying. This episode made me want to see more, I can say that the shows picks up here....I really hope it continues to improve becaude I have to admit I LOVE IT!!!! and want to see it evolve.

The characters were in place, there is a human part to this show that makes me feel fuzzy inside! The stories this time were a good fit. Toby is finding out more about his abilities and doubting if what he hears is real or not or how to understand other peoples thoughts is becoming very difficult reminding us that reading mind is not easy or fun!moreless

Toby meets someone else with special talents. And he learns that even thoughts are not always what they seem an can be misleading.

Toby and Oz see a girl obviously reviving a baby with her healing hands. Toby is excited to meet someone else with a gift as being unique is rather lonely (message to all of us normals: it's not always nice to be special...).

We meet the girl Iris who's happy to help people, her greedy uncle who doesn't really believe but takes the money nonetheless and a man grieving for his soon-to-be-dead wife (as she wasn't healed by Iris).

The healer/not healer story plus greedy relative is not really new, but this time she really believes in her talent and actually has one, only not the one she expected: nice little twist.

The husband who keeps the story rolling adds the semi-expected twist at the end reacting rather violently to the loss of his wife, revealing the uncle himself doesn't believe in Iris' powers which makes her doubt herself.

Toby helps her to realize she is a mind reader too. Her reaction "am I going crazy?" is nicely acted but come on: it's ok o heal people, but strange to read minds? I also would have liked to see them interact more, does she simply go home? It would be nice to get more of their story in a future episode. Charlie keeps reacting reserved to Toby's mind reading, which isn't unexpected, especially as she is a main character and there is obviously more to it.moreless
