When the President of Cooper-Weiss Pharmaceuticals dies and other staff get sick from a champagne toast at a celebratory dinner, IIB first looks at a group of protesters, one of whom disguised himself as a waiter and poured the drinks at the head table.

Meanwhile, Sandy surprises Oz with an early return from Africa.

I found this to be one of the more enjoyable episodes of the season and a major improvement over She Sells Sanctuary. The death of a company CEO and the poisoning of several other staff members at a posh celebration dinner leaves IIB with plenty of work to do. They have to first figure if the death was murder and then have to sort through the people in the protest group, one of whom disguised himself as a waiter and disrupted the proceedings.

As the investigation unfolded and attention turned to the Pharmaceutical company 's staff, an entirely different motive and suspect list emerged.

The plot was well written and the process of the investigation unfolding had solid elements that kept my interest piqued throughout. The Sandy, Oz and Elyse side story meshed nicely with the main plot and came to what I thought was a perfect conclusion.moreless
