  • Wish Upon a Starfish is one of the best and most unique episodes in the series.

The story revolves around Ariel and her new friend, a deaf mermaid named Gabriella. Along with Flounder, Sebastian, and Gabriella's interpreter Ollie, the two mermaids embark on a journey through unusual and magical seascapes to find the wishing starfish. There is a tinge of melancholy in the episode, but it ultimately leaves the viewer inspired.

This is a truly unique, stand-alone episode in the series. The show's producers and writers took a risk; what might have been confused and uninspiring is quite the opposite. The music is excellent, and the scenery is top-notch. The imagination behind this episode is exactly what makes this show - and all of Disney, for that matter - so outstanding.moreless
