Show Summary

Welcome to The Lively Ones guide at

The Lively Ones was a summer replacement show for Hazel that was successful enough to run for two seasons. Vic Damone and his two "dates" hosted this musical variety program that featured both new and established performers.

A press release of the time describes the show as follows: "This off-beat musical program features performances of contemporary jazz, comedy, dancing and singing. Viewers are taken out on location to places where the young set of today, "the lively set," goes."

The program aired Thursday night at 9:30/8:30 Central and was telecast in color. The show received Emmy nominations as Outstanding Musical Program and for Outstanding Electronic Camerawork both seasons it aired.
