Episode Summary

Following a trip to the mall, Daffy learns Bugs earns money for an invention called the Carrot Peeler. Realizing this makes Daffy come up with a quick scheme to get rich. However, Daffy steals one for an Automatic Carrot Peeler from Bug's idea journal. It's unsuccesful at first until carrots are declared a super health food and noone wants to peel carrots by hand. This leaves Bugs without income and Daffy raking in dough.

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • I really like this show. This is NOT what I was expecting.

This isn't the worst episode of the "Looney Tunes Show", but that doesn't mean it's a major disappointment. In this episode, Daffy needs help coming up with a new invention , so basically he steals Bug's idea of the "automatic carrot-peeler". Now I have two problems with this. One, how in the world can you make a fortune out of a simple automatic carrot peeler. Seriously, who in the world needs a carrot peeler? Heck, even the regular carrot peeler is a waste of money (no offence Bugs). Two, the idea of Daffy stealing Bug's was just mean. I mean, Daffy didn't even bother to credit Bug's for the idea Bugs came up with. Then, Daffy becomes rich, and Bugs becomes poor, due to his carrot peeler being overshadowed by the automatic carrot peeler. The next problem is that there are hardly any other characters here. Yes, you see them, but for only five seconds. The only other person that did show for longer than that was Yosemite Sam. The next problem is how incredibly predictable this episode was. Seriously, the plot was done before thousands, and there was hardly anything here to spice up the episode. There were some funny things though, how Daffy call the Mom's son a girl, and how he was making the ice cream lady make a complex dessert, just to have it thrown at his face. Overall, there were some good humor, but this was overall a poor episode of "The Looney Tunes Show". I am starting to lose faith this show. A lot of the new episodes have been having poor episodes lately and this one was no exception. I wouldn't recommend but, give this episode a shot if you want to.moreless
  • The 2nd greatest "The Looney Tunes Show" episode that I have ever seen

Well, "The Looney Tunes Show" isn't my favorite show but it great even though most of the episodes are just decent. "Devil Dog" is still the 1st best episode I've ever seen from this show. I don't usually review the episodes for "The Looney Tunes Show" since I don't usually feel like reviewing them which is weird but I just thought that I would review this episode since I feel like it. I just wanted to note that this is my 2nd time reviewing an episode from "The Looney Tunes Show". The 1st time was "Devil Dog" On to my review, I thought Daffy stealing Bugs' idea and making money out of it would bug me but it surprisingly didn't bug me that much, it still bugged me but not that much. Daffy asking how toppings he wanted on his sundae in the beginning of the episode was just hilarious and classic. Bugs' idea was pretty cool and Daffy stealing it and making out it was kind of funny also. Yosemite Sam's part in this episode was absolutely hilarious and I loved it. Daffy begging Bugs to help him because his house is about to be destroyed was also good. The ending with Bugs Bunny paying for Daffy Duck's sundae was also good to see. As for Lola's music video in this episode, it was pretty enjoyable but not my favorite tune. My score was just a little low because Daffy stealing Bugs' idea and making money out of it bugged me just a little. Overall, it is official that this episode (Peel of Fortune) is the 2nd best episode I've seen while "Devil Dog" is still the 1st best episode I've seen. 9.5/10moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • If Bugs came from the future to prevent Daffy from stealing the Automatic Carrot Peeler, that would still leave a past version of himself still around. And if future Bugs prevented past Daffy from stealing the idea, he should cease to exist as the version of the future he came from no longer exists.

  • NOTES (3)

    • Castle Thunder
When Bugs and Daffy are rushing towards the garage to Bugs's time machine during the thunderstorm, the classic "Castle Thunder" sound effect can be heard, which was used in many classic movies and TV shows (usually the horror genre) since Frankenstein until the 1990s, as well as in many Disney animated movies and Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Warner Bros. Animation also used Castle Thunder on a few productions, such as the What's New Scooby-Doo? episode "The Vampire Strikes Back" and the Loonatics Unleashed episode "Weathering Heights."
