Recurring Role |
It's revealed that Derek's middle name is Rene.
When Somkin mentions a lost bag, Sam says that he lost it in 1967. In Latin America, the subtitles said "1963".
When Derek exits the back of the elevator we see two gentlemen standing next to a chalk outline on the floor.
Sam: Hey, Darcy, why did you take the stairs?
Darcy: Assistants can't use the elevator during peak hours.
Sam: Really? You have to walk up 68 flights?
Darcy: It's not a big deal. There's a water fountain on the 40 and I'm pretty sure stairway rapist has moved on to the Sears tower.
Sully: Dude, you look like Val Kilmer. What happened
Sam: I just wrestled a monkey from a 747.
Sully: Is that a euphemism for dropping a deuce?
Bret Harrison (Sam), Eric Christian Olsen (Sully), Mimi Rogers (Meryl), Joy Osmanski (Darcy) and Phillip Baker Hall (Russ) appeared in every episode.
This episode became the series finale as the series was never renewed for a third season.
Russ: Save your sorries for Tracy Chapman.
Tracy Chapman is a folk singer. One of her well-known songs is "Sorry".
Sully: Come on Sammy, you had stars in your eyes, it happens to the best of us, it's the only reason I got in the back of Glen Fry's van...or maybe it was Don Henley... who sang Boys of Summer?
Both Glen Fry and Don Henley were founding members of the band "The Eagles". Don Henley is the one that sang Boys of Summer.
Russ: I'll have to camp out, like I did for Revenge of the Sith.
Revenge of the Sith is the subtitle of Episode III of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Fans were so excited for its release that they camped out, sometimes for weeks prior to the opening to ensure they would be present during the first showing.
Somkin: Did you ever see a grown man naked?
This line uttered by Somkin to Kevin the chimp in the closing scene is an allusion to the movie Airplane! where Captain Oveur uses the same line. What makes this even better is that actor Dale Dye (Somkin) looks at lot like actor Peter Graves (Captain Oveur).
