      • In the opening credits, Bernie Kopell used the pseudonym Siegfried von Kopelhoff and appeared as his dual role character, Detective Kleinschmidt.   The character and pseudonym were an acknowledgement of his role as Conrad Siegfried on the series "Get Smart".  It was also a reference to his guest starring role on "The Doris Day Show" as her art-forging uncle, August von Kopelhoff, which in turn was a play on his last name and Doris Day's given last name.
