Lucy Goes to a Hollywood Premiere

Aired Monday 8:30 PM Feb 07, 1966 on CBS

  • Trivia

    • It cost $144 to ship Lucy's movie magazine collection from Danfield to Hollywood. Among her mags are seen posters for The Overland Express starring Buck Jones, Suspicion starring Cary Grant, and Radio City Revels with Ann Miller.

    • Lucy manages to get Mr. Mooney arrested for selling maps without a permit, and thrown into a sidewalk of wet cement.

    • The fake stars, mixed among the real ones, are movie heartthrob Road Block, film composer Dimitri Orloff, and, from the movie Love in the Jungle, sex symbol Mimi Van Tysen and her co-star Coconuts Mulligan, a gorilla (actually George Barrows in his gorilla suit).

  • Quotes

    • Johnny Grant: (interviewing the movie composer on the red carpet) And what picture are you working on now?
Dimitri Orloff: Doctors and Nurses A-Go-Go.
Johnny Grant: And what is the theme song?
Dimitri Orloff: "I Left My Kidney with Dr. Sidney".
