  • Lucy needs money from Mooney to buy daughter Chris a dress for her first formal. Discovering Mooney hospitalized, she just "happens" to be a candy-striper volunteer so she tries to get into his room to get him to sign a check. Naturally, chaos ensues.moreless

The "I need money-let's try and trick Mr. Mooney" premise wears thin very quickly and this is just another episode built around that motivation. There is a rather funny scene where Lucy is wheeling around in a wheelchair being chased by several hospital workers and each time someone sees them a new person joins in, but it almost seems like this was done before in one of the episodes of the "I Love Lucy" series. Why Vivian was involved in the hospital scenes is not really understood since she really did not have that much to do except feed Lucy some lines.moreless
