Goofs: Lucy touchs an electrical power line with the antenna but gets no shock.
The sky in the background has several seams in it, and in one shot where the camera pans too high, you can see studio lights shining on the sky.
TV repairman Herb charges $8 for house calls, and $40 to install a TV antenna.
When the TV breaks, Lucy suggests they sing songs around the piano. The kids don't know their parents' selections: "There's a Long, Long Trail", "Down by the Old Mill Stream", and "Wait Til the Sun Shines, Nellie." The kids want to sing "Ahab the Arab" (by Ray Stevens) and "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" (a hit for The Rivingtons).
Lucy: (to the TV repairman) Well, how much do you charge to make a house call?
Herb: Eight dollars.
Lucy: Doctors only charge 7.50!
Herb: I know. That's why I quit medical school.
(Lucy is stuck in the chimney)
Viv: What are you doing in the chimney, anyway?
Lucy: I'm testing to see if it's big enough for Santa Claus!
