Although when the place is closed, she's surprised to see the bus sprout rockets and head off into space. The class visits the Sun along with the inner planets. While in the Asteroid Belt the bus gets hit by an asteroid and their map gets turned off. In the process of fixing the map Ms. Frizzle and Liz get lost in space. The episode The Magic School Bus Gets Eaten illustrates the elements of the food chain. Students are introduced to terms such as zooplankton and phytoplankton. The lively lesson begins when the Friz (voiced by Lily Tomlin) and her students take a trip to the beach. Before long, the kids are magically whirling beneath the sea. Segments on feeding reveal all the drama of the predator/prey relationship. There is a strong emphasis on helping youngsters make the connection between their own survival and the food chain. Mindful of that fact, energetic schoolteacher Ms. Frizzle decides to explain basic chemistry concepts to her class by taking a field trip to a bakery in the magic bus. As usual, things get a bit out of hand as the class finds itself getting baked right into a large cake. In the midst of all this fun and excitement, children will learn that baking involves basic chemistry and the transforming properties of heat as it acts on a recipe's ingredients.moreless

      Energetic schoolteacher Ms. Frizzle returns for another episode of the series that finds creative ways to fully involve children in the wonder of learning. In this program, Ms. Frizzle challenges the children to develop their class garden, since it will soon be featured on the cover of a magazine. Young Phoebe asks for help when she realizes that the class doesn't even have one plant growing in their garden.
