After Tony finishes teaching a magic class, a carnival performer comes up to tell Tony that a little girl in his care seems to be upset about something. Tony discovers that the girl's father is in hiding for committing a murder he claims he did not commit. Tony discovers that the crime was really committed by a man named Malone -- and Tony arranges a trap in his magic workshop to trick Malone into making a confession.moreless
In the very beginning of this episode, Bill Bixby performs a Zig Zag illusion on stage, and if you look carefully behind him (left side of screen) on the stage's curtains, you can see the microphone boom's shadow projected on the curtain, being held by the sound man offstage.

Magic performed in this episode:
- Divided lady (a woman in a cabinet emerges unharmed, despite the fact that four blades are thrust all the way through)
- Balancing and Rolling a Ball on a Rope (Tony teaches us this one)
- Causing a dove, covered by a silk, to vanish in a little girl's hands
Edit
Tony: That's either a white thread or a white hair. In either case, it's yours.
Edit
Malone: All right. I've been polite. I don't have to be. You live on a plane. Planes explode. You work on a stage. Accidents happen on stages. Don't worry about the little girl. Worry about yourself.
Edit
Tony: Well, in my case, a home is not a house.
