  • Another great epiosde...

    9.0
this was not as exciting as the last epiosde in my opinion but it was very well written. when two women bounty hunters come into town, one of them takes JD into the barn and they make out(against his will), just then JD's gilfriend shows up at the door she only talkd to him at the end. a trail is held for the bountiers after one of them shoots JD she was found guilty of murder before that and is sentended to hang, however she gets shot before the end and dies. this was a very exciting epiosde of a very exciting show. later.moreless

    • MATTIE: [sighs] I'm scared, preacher.

JOSIAH: That man on the stagecoach that you killed... and JD... you think they were scared?

MATTIE: [sniffles] I never thought about it.

JOSIAH: Well, think about it. Maybe that will be your path to redemption.

    • BUCK: Kate... I have spent my whole life... thinking that women were... everything good that warms the soul. And that got my friend shot.

      KATE: We're human, Buck.

BUCK: Guess JD is, too, 'cause that bullet his gut proved that, didn't it?

    • (Ezra is balancing a broom on his foot)

KIRKLAND: (To Nathan)That's the lawyer you told me about?

EZRA: (Catches the broom in his hand and puts it away) Ezra P. Standish, attorney at law. At your service.

KIRKLAND: What's the "p" stand for?

      EZRA: Persuasive

    • CASEY: What would a man want from a woman... who happens to be a female bounty hunter?

      VIN: Depends on the man.

CASEY: What if this man is JD?

VIN: Well... could have nothing to do with the lady bounty hunter at all. Could be he's just sowin' his wild oats.

      CASEY: Sowin' his oats?

      VIN: Right.

      CASEY: SOWIN' HIS OATS?!

VIN: Oh, that-that's just a sayin'.

CASEY: Well, guess what? I got oats, too.

      VIN: I'm sure you do.

CASEY: Yeah! And you know what? I'm gonna sow some. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do.

VIN: Now--now--now hold on there, Casey--

CASEY: Startin' right now. With you.

      VIN: With me?!

      CASEY: Yeah, go! Come on.

VIN: No, no! OW! NO! No.

CASEY: Fine. You ain't interested in my oats? I'll find someone who is.

      VIN: Casey. Aw, hell.

    • Buck: You know, you 2 ladies going after Del Spivak's gang alone... just sounds like a bad idea.

Kate: Yeah, 'cause girls are too weak, right?

Buck: No, I didn't say that.

Kate: Didn't have to. I know exactly what you think of women.

Buck: Oh, then why don't you tell me what it is that I think of women?

Kate: All right. You like to have us around well enough. Look at, touch, keep you warm at night. Or to kick at when you're mad. Laugh at when we cry. You like it when we cry, don't you? Makes you feel strong.

Buck: You know... I do like to look at women. I can't deny it. I like to touch 'em, too. I love the shape and the smell of 'em... and the way their minds work. I mean... sometimes it just surprises the socks right off of me. If I could spend the rest of my life just tryin' to figure out how to make them happy... that would be a good life, indeed. That's the truth. Ma'am.

    • Ezra: (Notices Mattie was checking him out) Well, well. You must be one of the lovely bounty hunters I've been hearing so much about. You two certainly have this little town all abuzz.

      Mattie: What do you want?

Ezra: Well, it's not what I want that should interest you, but what I have to offer. You see, with your skill and my business acumen, well, my dear, I could make you famous.

Mattie: Or I could make you dead.

      Ezra: ...And so charming, too

    • Kirkland: Well, you think the judge will go easy on me?

Ezra: Oh, that, yes. Well, did you perchance, uh, kill more than one person?

      Kirkland: Well...yeah.

Ezra: Well, then you are in luck!... He can only hang you once.

    • (After JD's been shot)
Buck: (savagely) Go after them Chris. Gun 'em down if you have to, but just get him.

    • JD: Oh Buck, ohhh... She shot me. Buck, aah, she shot me.

      Buck: Who?

JD: Mattie shot me, uhh... Mattie shot me...
