Show Summary

The Main Ingredient is a cooking and dining TV show hosted by award-winning celebrity chef and restaurateur Bobby Flay. The Lifetime network brings their cameras inside Bobby's kitchen, and they follow him around the globe as he shows audiences how to prepare exotic dishes. The chef gives step-by-step instructions on some of his most famous dishes, and he also shows restaurateurs the best places to eat while traveling. Flay opens the series with cooking instruction on some of his signature barbecue dishes, including Grilled Cherry Tomato Chutney, Cucumber Raita and Grilled Halibut with Corn-Coconut Curry Sauce. During the season, Flay takes small trips to places like New York's Italian restaurant, La Puglia Ristorante, which has been around since the turn of the century. Grilled Warm Potato Salad with Roasted Garlic and Black Olive Dressing and Key Lime Tequila Milkshake are on the menu when Flay takes his crew south to Mexico. The chef also cooks for some famous people throughout the season, including actors Tony Lo Bianco and Robert Woods.
