Evil scientist kidnaps other scientists

Does this episode summary sound familiar ?? It should. It's almost the same plotline as the first Man from Atlantis made-for-tv movie. In the first episode Dr Schubert kidnaps fellow scientists to achieve world domination. In this episode Dr Mary Smith kidnaps fellow scientists to save them from a world full of pollution. Both crazy scientist used some sort of drug to make the kidnapped scientists happy and cheerful and cooperative.

Apart from this repeated storyline, the acting in this episode by some of the guest stars is not really up to par. The main stars do quite well, as usual, but the actress playing Jane was outclassed. Perhaps the fact that her last name matches the last name of the producer had something to do with casting her in that part...moreless
