  • The Project Strigas Affair

Excellent first season episode. The pre Star Trek paring of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy made it all the more better. Plus pre Hogan's Heroes Werner Klemperer who plays an excellent villain. Good storyline and good acting. Again, if only the series had stayed this way.
  • Clever and witty...Solo and Kuryakin are the best! They use an innocent American to pull the wool over the eyes of a diplomat and save the world yet again...with a con!moreless

This is one of my favorite episodes, one that I\\\'m lucky to own at home. I love how Solo and Kuryakin put their heads together and con an Eastern European diplomat, sending his future to ruin in his home country. This is an example of what many shows are missing today, cleverness and ingenunity.
  • In one word: really cool!

This is by far the best episode of the series that I've seen and I'm not just saying that because I'm a big "Star Trek" fan. I especially like the scene where Ilya, Napolean and Waverley pull the wool over Linfield's eyes and get him to spill the beans (pardon the mixed metaphors). Werner Klemperer (a.k.a. Colonel Klink from "Hogan's Heroes") was great in it too. I'm sorry he wasn't in it again, even as a different character. The only bad thing really was that all William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy did together was two scenes and one phone conversation.moreless

    • Donfield: What can we do now?
Solo: You and I are going to have some very special pictures taken. Illya, I want you to stay here and wait for Mr. Linkwood to return--and then bring him home, alive--and unmarked.
Kuryakin: Must you qualify your requests?

  • NOTES (1)

    • William Shatner (Michael Donfield) and Leonard Nimoy (Vladeck) would later star in the sci-fi classic Star Trek together, playing Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock respectively. They appeared in six Star Trek films, T.J. Hooker and Futurama together. The pair also appeared with David McCallum's then-wife, Jill Ireland, in the Star Trek episode, "This Side of Paradise".
